  • 8 slices of gluten-free bread (cubed)
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup diced ham or Canadian bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or Swiss)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup hollandaise sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Fresh chives (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the cubed bread in the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and Dijon mustard in a bowl until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread, making sure to soak the bread evenly.
  5. Add the diced ham and shredded cheese on top.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden brown on top.
  8. While the casserole is baking, prepare the hollandaise sauce.
  9. Once out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Drizzle with hollandaise sauce and garnish with fresh chives.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
