- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice and cornstarch.
- Spread the apple mixture over the crust in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the apples.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
