A comforting creamy chicken stroganoff made gluten-free, featuring tender chicken, savory mushrooms, and a rich sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Chicken Breast (Boneless)
  • To taste Salt
  • To taste Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 2 tablespoons Gluten-Free Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 8 ounces Cremini Mushrooms
  • 2 cloves Fresh Garlic (Minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Full-Fat Sour Cream

Instructions

  1. Season the boneless chicken breasts with salt and black pepper to taste.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the skillet.
  4. Sauté the seasoned chicken breasts for about 5–7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  6. Chop 1 medium onion and slice 8 ounces of mushrooms.
  7. Add the onion and mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until softened.
  8. Stir in 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and 2 cloves of minced garlic.
  9. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of flour over the vegetables and stir to coat.
  10. Whisk in 1 cup of chicken broth slowly to avoid lumps.
  11. Add 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce, mixing well.
  12. Reduce heat to low and stir in 1 cup of sour cream until smooth.
  13. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and coat in sauce.
  14. Simmer on low for about 5 minutes.
