  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 strips cooked bacon, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Burger buns (brioche or sesame work well)
  • Butter for toasting buns
  • Sliced pickles
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Onions
  • More cheese
  • Crack sauce (a mix of mayo, mustard, and ranch)

Instructions

  1. Combine in a large bowl ground chuck, ranch seasoning, shredded cheddar, and chopped cooked bacon. Mix gently by hand until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape into patties about ¾-inch thick. Press a small indentation in the center of each to help them cook evenly.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. If grilling, oil the grates lightly. If pan-searing, add a small amount of oil to the pan.
  4. Cook the burgers for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Add extra cheese on top during the last minute if desired.
