Chicken and Dumpling Casserole

A comforting and easy-to-make casserole perfect for family meal nights.

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 cup Bisquick mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, milk, and mixed vegetables.
  3. Spread the chicken mixture evenly in a greased casserole dish.
  4. In another bowl, mix the Bisquick, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Pour the Bisquick mixture over the chicken mixture in the casserole dish.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
  • For a spicier version, add some cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
