  • 1 large head of cauliflower
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and cut it into 1-inch thick slices to create ‘steaks’.
  3. Mix together olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Brush both sides of the cauliflower steaks with the oil mixture.
  5. Place the steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden.
  7. Remove from the oven, sprinkle cheese on top, and return to the oven until melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve hot.
