  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup certified gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Burger buns
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  2. Mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne in another bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, letting the excess drip off.
  5. Coat the chicken in the flour mixture, ensuring each piece is well-covered.
  6. Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  7. Drain the fried chicken on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  8. Assemble the burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and the fried chicken in the buns.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
