  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, garlic, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and thyme.
  3. Layer half of the sweet potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  4. Pour half of the cream mixture over the sweet potatoes.
  5. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the cream.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining sweet potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
