A delightful breakfast bake featuring buttery croissants and mixed berries, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Place torn croissant pieces in the greased dish and scatter mixed berries on top.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, orange juice, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon in a bowl. Pour the mixture over the croissants and berries, pressing down to soak.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden and set.
  5. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Use stale croissants for better absorption of custard. Feel free to experiment with various seasonal fruits.
