Delightful almond croissants filled with sweet frangipane, combining flaky pastry with a rich almond filling.

  • 4 flaky croissants
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup almond paste
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Confectioners’ sugar for dusting
  • 1/4 cup flaked almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the flaky croissants in half and set aside.
  3. Combine almond paste, sugar, eggs, and flour in a mixing bowl to create the frangipane filling.
  4. Fill each croissant with the sweet frangipane.
  5. Place the filled croissants on a baking sheet and top with flaked almonds.
  6. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Dust with confectioners’ sugar before serving. Serve warm with coffee.

Notes

Use bakery-fresh or day-old croissants for the best texture and flavor. Optionally add a splash of almond extract for extra flavor.
